John + Chelsea

I had the pleasure of working with an old pal from high school and the man John grew into, is remarkable. I'm so proud of this upcoming musician and he's got the most beautiful and kind-hearted lady by his side. To say he's doing great is an understatement.

This is probably one of my favorite couple's to photograph. This set is just filled with so much love and so much youth, it's just so pure. These two were definitely written in the stars.

I've been making it a habit to ask couple's when they knew their partner was the one, well here is Chelsea's story:

"Everyone knows John is a musician. His passion is to be on stage, strumming a guitar and belting out some Texas Country! I love any chance to see and hear him play, but I'm always partial to my own private bathtub concerts. I could never imagine doing what he does, it honestly terrifies me. I, on the other hand, love to dance to the kind of music he creates! The boy may have rhythm with a guitar, but the idea of dancing in a crow terrifies him; I can remember begging for months for him to dance with me at any concert we went to, his response, "You would never get on stage and sing with me!" And I guess I couldn't argue with that logic. One night, while sitting on the couch listening to him strum out a song, he put down his guitar, pushed back the dining room table, grabbed my hand and said, " I know you love to dance, teach me." It was an interesting night of having my toes stepped on and tripping over each other but my heart could not have been more happy. It may be a small thing, but I knew then and there, this man who put aside his fears to make me happy was who I wanted by side in this world. Love is not about remaining comfortable, it's about stepping outside of the box with someone you know would never let you fail. As for me, I still haven't set food on stage, but I will always sing along in the car... love is not perfect, it's a work in progress."

I hope your heart melted while reading this because I am now in literal tears. Thank you, Chelsea.
