Jessica + Jonny

I had the opportunity to shoot this retro-feel engagement session with these two love birds. I enjoyed this session mainly because of how awesome they were to work with and how evident their love for one another is in these photos.
Here is their story in the words of the lovely Jessica:

"I met Jonny when I was 17. He started coming to our church, got introduced to my dad, and about a week later, my dad tells me, "There's a new guya church. His name is Jonny, I like him and you need to love him." I laughed, rolled my eyes, and ignored him for the most part. Except dads can be persistent when they feel strongly about something, so my dad took it upon himself to befriend Jonny. He invited him places with us and kept bugging me about him. Finally, time passes and I learn to like him. Except, well, he doesn't like me. Like, at all. He even told me. To my face. It was mortifying. Until a few months later when my dad invites him to go on a weekend trip with us, and Jonny basically breaks his leg and shoulder. Suddenly, he needs me. And because I was absolutely in love with him, I would do anything for him. Including buy him a round two of slushies at Sonic when he spilled his (red slushy) all over the carpet in my car. Eventually, he learns to love me, too, and the rest is history.
I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this guy when I was having a terrible week. I mentioned once that I'd never been to Galveston in the winter, so he tells me to grab a jacket, "We're going to Galveston for the day." It was December 23, 2011. Yep, I remember the date. Once we got there, I was absolutely certain that I wanted to do this forever. And by this, I mean be reminded over and over again that he's with me 100% regardless of the week I'm having or the half a tank of gas it takes to get to Galveston and back for a few hours of happiness."

I cannot wait to shoot this lovely couple's wedding in August, I'm very thankful to be a part of their love story.
